My intention in writing about S.G. was not to prove Sister wrong. In fact, it may be me that has wrong information. I learned mine from Mollie. Sister learned hers from Danny. Obviously one was not telling the truth. Which one? I have no idea.

By what I read of Sister, I belive what she says, simply because I witnessed some of the very things that she posts. So please don't put her head in a noose because we have different information from sources that should have the same answer.

As to this incident, I will say that it would definitely NOT be in 3ABN's best interest to bring a legal proceeding against S.G. because it would force open a lot of books that prefer to remain closed. It wasn't the first time nor the last (as we well know) that things were kept quiet for the good of the ministry.

Anyway, for what it's worth Sister, I apologize if I inadvertantly brought doubt upon your posts. It was not my intention.

In my opinion, yes, sister is very credible. Seems she has taken it from all sides today. I believe most of it has come from Maritime where they want Proof Positive. Well, Danny has done a very good job of covering his tracks. And convincing viewers he is a blameless victim.

Sister, I very much enjoy your posts, and I have learned much from you. I had researched for myself before I ever ran across BSDA. You sometimes fill in the blanks I had, and always seem truthful. Keep up the good work.

Well, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she got defensive. So that makes me wonder even more. I didn't like her tone. I've been observing here for a long time. And when I saw something that I know is inaccurate, I spoke up. Sorry Sister...you're not all-knowing.

I, also, believe Sister to be credible. I am aware that you all get your information from different people. It would be unusual if these sources all agreed with each other.

For instance, whether a person is fired or allowed to resign really doesn't speak to a person's credibility regardless of which of the two situations turns out to be true.

So, please don't beat yourselves up because you filter information differently. If we were all identical human beings, all but one of us would be redundant.

A "special" was done on the news once that had a "thief/assaulter" come into a classroom of college aged students and run in and out the classroom.

All of the students described him differently. Some of them left off stuff. Some of them remembered intricate details - no one had the same description.

As for Sister's tone.... if I knew that I had experienced something a particular way and someone tried to call me a lie - I would get "tart" with them too...

Moral: Not everyone sees the glass the same. Some see it half-empty....some see it half-full....some are mad with 1/2 - some are grateful....

I will also add my two cents and say that I knew a lot of what Sister has posted and some I had heard about... the information that she has said, that I didn't have prior knowledge about, I feel is credible... if she is dead on the money about the stuff that I know... she probably isn't off base on what I don't..

I trust Sister too. I have communicated with her on another forum. My experience here at BSDA wasn't so great. She set me up. However, that has nothing to do with truth. I believer her testimony here is truth. I know she was there and has been vouched for from one I trust. Yeah, I know, second hand! Not credible on my part, but I believe Sister is credible.

Oh well, I believe her truth! I believe she knows what she is talking about. Go sister!

I also believe Barbara Kerr's post. I believe she is credible also. I believe your truth too Paper Tiger and other first hand witnesses.

Just my opinion. Over and out.

But such a character is not the result of accident; it is not due to special favors or endowments of Providence. A noble character is the result of self-discipline, of the subjection of the lower to the higher nature--the surrender of self for the service of love to God and man. {Ed 57.4}

Thanks Fran,

I will say that everything I've seen sister post has been accurate to the experiences that I have been part of and I admire her ability to research what's happened. You keep on posting sister.

Paper Tiger, I'm pretty sure I know who you are and I just want to say "thank you" for what you have added to this forum. I think you have a friend that needs a "nudge" to come forward with her own story. This is the time -- please encourage her.

As for husbandoftheyear, I suspect that he is Hal Steenson (Mollie's husband). Hal, if that IS you, I just want you to know that I never went to 3abn without looking forward to running into you in the hallway. You ALWAYS had 2 or 3 corny jokes to tell just to make me laugh and lift my spirits. I have enjoyed our conversations over the years and always look forward to the next one. I also heard you preach in Fletcher, NC, at the rally last Spring and I thought your sermon was inspiring. You can say negative things about me if you want to (I'm referring to another thread) but I love you like a brother and always will.

Hey Barbara,

I have to agree that Hal can keep a person laughing. The last one he told me in the halls of 3ABN was upstairs by the printers just outside my office.

"A guy took his blond girlfriend to a football game. She watched them flip the quarter to determine which team would start, and the game proceeded. When it was over, she said, 'it was alright, but why all the fuss over the quarter?' her boyfriend asked, 'What do you mean?' she replied, 'Well, through the whole game they went back and forth across the field and kept yelling 'Get the quarter back! Get the quarter back!'"

I'm sorry, Barbara, I am not Hal. I hope he is reading this, though, so that he sees what you wrote about him. Hal is indeed a very bright and funny guy, but don't ever forget that he's in the thick of things too...

Barbara,

I'm not sure I'm the person you think I am.. but I definitely agree that there are people who need to be "nudged" to share their stories.

I'm not at all comfortable with the latest efforts to play guessing games as to who people are .... whichever side of the fence they seem to be coming from or going to. There are many different reasons why people have chosen to not have their names appear in this very public place, and I think we should honor those reasons without trying to find either the reason or the identity.

The witnesses and reporters here are not on trial. They bring their stories. Others speak up to confirm, deny, ammend, correct, or add to their stories. This is as it should be. And this should be enough for the readers .... and for those who dialogue. There are enough people here who are posting under their real names to lend the weight of their identity to their testimonies.... and their witness to the realness of those who do not use real names should be enough. Beyond that, it is the words that count ..... not the identity of the person who moves the fingers on the keyboards.

It is human nature to be curious about those with whom we converse. For those who were or are currently inside 3ABN, it must be especially difficult to know they probably worked with some of the people here everyday.
