He will remain on the board and work at 3abn in some capacity. He mentioned something about being a consultant to Gilley. There was the typical praise for Gilley the man, he is the one to take 3abn to the next level, much like they did for Doug B. with the merger introduction; this must be from the Lord, and dreams again. Danny did most of the talking, this man sure loves to talk. More talk about the devil persecuting 3abn, folks talking about 3abn, judge us by our fruits. They opened it up for questions from emails, but only allowed softball questions and praise comments to be aired, like a cute letter from the Gilley's grandchildren. Danny will NOT be gone from 3ABN until he draws his last breath or it goes off the air. I knew this is how it would be, I'm just surprised Danny admitted it on air. A new "president" is just as big a joke as the "board of directors" he has now. Just one more yes person to agree with him. That's all it is.

Sorry to say, I think this may be just one more nail in 3ABN's coffin.

A new "president" is just as big a joke as the "board of directors" he has now. Just one more yes person to agree with him. That's all it is.

Sorry to say, I think this may be just one more nail in 3ABN's coffin.

As I posted in one of the other threads, Danny was in his usual chair, dominating the converstion as usual, and pointing out that the president was not as important as the Board. He also mentioned that Elder Gilley had informed him that if Danny was not going to stay on, Elder Gilley would not want to come on as president!

Danny's designation on the screen was "3ABN Founder".

I watched too. He told his viewing audience that if we didn't like watching him we could just turn him off! I had already been doing that.

Well, I wondered if Brandy was watching at his comments about Gilley's wife! Nothing new. Same old, same old!

I did hear that Jim will be the CEO and President!

(Tongue in Cheek) I saw it in vision! It is Joy and Pickles fault he lost his job! "Look out, here come de Judge!" the lawyers cried! (I am awake now)

This reminds me of a song about a brand new pair of roller skates. Yes, Gilley got a brand new pair of roller skates, but Danny 's got the Key!

The more thing change, the more they stay the same! (IMO)

What it really said was Gilley will sign what I say he can sign;
Gilley will have to run everything by me;
Gilley will be Danny's front man;
Danny will still be doing 3ABN Today;
He can now do as he pleases and get away with all he has done in the past;
He will continue to receive a paycheck and enjoy his current lifestyle;
He can laugh all the way to the bank!

Maybe if I follow behind him, he will throw some crumbs at me, so I can enjoy an ever so small bit too.

Several people in front of me were discussing the fact that the "mole" or "moles" as the case may be , that are employed at 3abn disgust them. They said you make everyone look bad by being so two faced. Just something to think about.

I wonder if the 3ABN board of directors has a feeling one way or another about 3ABN's affiliation or lack thereof with the SDA Church. Appletree? Panther?

Yes, most ministries are down on donations. It is my opinion that a combination of economic issues, and a growing distrust of "non profits" are the primary factors in that downturn.

Miracle stories are often termed "miracle stories" when they are not. The same people who are losing faith in the "non profits" seem to be losing faith in the concept of "miracle stories" too as they have so often been made up, or turned into "miracles." In light of the miracle stories, dreams, and visions that accompanied the announcement of Doug's new position with 3ABN, it should be expected that there will be a certain skepticism when miracle stories and dreams accompany another announcement of someone taking the position that Doug was supposed to take.

I would not agree that it is inevitable that Jim will come under broad attack. Many of us believe that it is a good thing that he has taken this job. He is a savvy politician and regardless what the short term view of his position as president/CEO may be in light of Danny's comments, I have a hard time believing that Jim would stoop to being anyone's unquestioning stooge in the long term. I will say the same for Larry Romrell. The light at the end of the tunnel may not be the headlamp of an oncoming train, but we will see.

Hold on! Wait just a second! Is it Gailon and Bob's fault that donations are down, or is it the economy? Please, Appletree, make up your mind. I'm certain that the 3abn attorneys would appreciate it as well.

I don't think we all turned on Doug. There were lots of questions raised when the announcement was made in the way it was made. We went about getting those questions answered the best we could. Some folks cooperated with our search for knowledge and answers, some didn't.

I understood that fishing expeditions (for people's identities), is strictly off limits here and result in being banned. I also understood that veiled threats were equally off limits. Or hadn't you noticed that before?
