For those who don't seem to realize it, BlackSDA is a "DISCUSSION forum."
If you feel your comments, observations or opinions can not or, should not be scrutinized then maybe you should continue in CF where you can play hit and run and cry foul, while hiding behind the ops... and thus keep said comments, observations and opinions to yourself. ANY member on BSDA has the right and ability to question and or comment on ANY post that is made here by another member. No one BSDA member is required to avoid any post just because the op of said post does not want their comments being challenged by any given member. That attitude is simply childish and not worthy of adults who desire sincere discussion, to learn and grow. The regular attempts to distract from the subject of a thread by using passive aggressive accusations is lame at best. The gullible are swayed by such behavior but the more discerning know it for what it is, subtle attempts to use "EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL" to get their way. Which is also childish behavior and not becoming believers who know who they are in Christ Jesus. Simply put, if you can't take it, don't dish it out. These are 'my observations' and may or may not reflect the thoughts or opinions of others on BSDA. As you are entitled to your observations and opinions, so am I. I apologize to any and all sensitive souls who may be, or will be, offended by my candid observations and suggestions. Be Blessed This post has been edited by princessdi: Apr 25 2007, 08:04 PM -------------------- WELCOME to BlackSDA from seraph|m, a BSDA Charter member.

I do not agree with everyone, but I am accepted. This is important for me. CA used to be my home. I dropped in the other day and nothing had changed. The moderators were still roasting the members. Here, I am blessed spiritually because of tolerance of others beliefs. -------------------- The greatest want of the world is the want of men-- men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. {Ed 57.3}
But such a character is not the result of accident; it is not due to special favors or endowments of Providence. A noble character is the result of self-discipline, of the subjection of the lower to the higher nature--the surrender of self for the service of love to God and man. {Ed 57.4} |

As a newbie (not sure if I spelled that right) let me say how much I appreciate this forum...a place to dialog, learn, share, a place to vent a little but with kindness and compassion...I guess I am addicted! I never knew about this site until all the mess with 3abn. I am thankful for being accepted here too. I say Amen to being blessed by BSDA. Happy Sabbath! |

I hope I don't hurt any feelings by stating that one of the things I really like here at BSDA is that variations in outer hues add to the total beauty and harmony. It is where the heart and sincerity count and Christian cords unite. Following discussions on black issues help me gain a better understanding of human aspects that are close to all of humanity. QUOTE(mozart @ May 2 2007, 05:15 AM) that was lovely johann. as are you. BTW what hue are you? should we open a new thread. lol In my youth I was a blue-eyed blond. Now I'm getting close to white. My face is kind of red so nobody can see the difference if I blush. Some years back I grew a beard and it was red. I have a red headed granddaughter. She may have gotten it from my red beard. So I go for colors, but have been envious of those who have brown eyes and dark brown skin. Black is also beautiful. I was all taken by Clay's remarks that we should notice colors and not react as if it does not make a difference. I know our Creator enjoys colors too. So each of us can be proud and thankful for what has been given to us, and none of us must downgrade another because of colors. A couple of days ago we went to a concert in a Lutheran Church in our neighborhood here in Iceland. One of the soloists is a Seventh-day Adventist with one of the richest bass voices I have heard. With tears in my eyes I listened to the three Negro Spirituals he had chosen to sing for us, and I again thought of the rich harmonies the best in our cultures, our faith, our racial distinctions, brings to us when our ears, eyes, and hearts are open to what God wants us to experience. (The same bass enriched our wedding ceremony about a year ago.) While I'm at it I might was well share with you what happened last night when the Prime Minister of Iceland gave me such a warm handshake and appreciation, followed by the Minister of Education and the Minister of Finance. It so happened that I had just uttered a few words of appreciation for the delight that met me when I returned to Iceland after living so many years elsewhere in the world. Those warm handshakes and words of appreciation from the top political leaders of this country meant a lot to me. So the warm handshakes given here on BSDA in words make a deeper Christian experience in our lives. We see this in a stark contrast to how a self-appointed Christian leader demeaned his precious wife in bouts of jealousy and meanness, demanding of others that they cover his tracks with lies and deception. Such will never gain the acceptance of heaven. -------------------- "Any fact that needs to be disclosed should be put out now or as quickly as possible, because otherwise the bleeding will not end." (Attributed to Henry Kissinger) "He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it" (Martin Luther King) |

What Johann said is so true. We all gain so much from each other, and from the variety of cultures and races. God made the birds and flowers in a variety of colors and patterns for our enjoyment. So he has made people in a variety of colors and designs all to add pleasure and enrichment to our short lives on earth. I am always telling the young ones at church when we sing, "Jesus Loves the Litttle Children" how much God must love designing each baby differently from the last one. How much fun that must be to pick out the hair, eye, and skin color, and choose the shape of the nose and mouth and so on. I will never forget the family of children who were so excited to get a red haired baby in the family. When they found out that another baby was on the way, they told their mother that they wanted a "chocolate baby" this time. Our family got a good laugh out of it as that was not in the genes, but kids naturally do like all peoples. And so should all of us. Joyce This post has been edited by joyce: May 3 2007, 06:02 AM |
