QUOTE(Observer @ Jun 3 2007, 05:09 AM) Just having some fun folks with a new word that I learned today. Gregory, Upon closer examination, I find a flaw with your poll. When I tried to check all of "those" who I believe fit the description of a "scrutator", I was dismayed to find that I could only check one of the names on the list while there are several who fit the parameters. I have decided to select the one I feel is the most scrutatoriest one of the bunch. -------------------- Got Peace?
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. "Truth welcomes examination and doesn't need to defend itself, while deception hides in darkness and blames everyone else." Aunt B, 2007 |

I must not have gotten it right. Sorry. -------------------- Gregory Matthews posts here under the name "Observer."

Gregory, If I were to say that before I vote I need to know whether the pink panther option is The Pink Panther, or the PinkPanther at BSDA or PinkPanther007 from CF would that be an example of scrutating? QUOTE(Observer @ Jun 3 2007, 07:09 AM) Just having some fun folks with a new word that I learned today. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I just thought of more people that could be listed also. Fun you say? Where is Sister, Lurker, PB, and many more ... the list goes on! -------------------- The greatest want of the world is the want of men-- men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. {Ed 57.3}
But such a character is not the result of accident; it is not due to special favors or endowments of Providence. A noble character is the result of self-discipline, of the subjection of the lower to the higher nature--the surrender of self for the service of love to God and man. {Ed 57.4} |

Although I'm somewhat of a Luddite I was able to finally find a online dictionary that had Scrutater in it. Great word and it makes sense when you think of it.

It is too early to scrutate on the definition of your scrutation. I haven't even jentaculated yet this morning! Give a guy a break. When I am done jentaculating, I will ablute, and only then will I return to scrutate your heathen play. Scrutations on you... Scrutator!
