It means "As Far as I'm concerned"

I'm sorry, I got used to using it in IMs, and just assumed others would know what I meant.
But, I myself had to ask what it meant when I first read it.

But, I myself had to ask what it meant when I first read it.

Beartrap Googled it before I saw his answer, so I changed my own just to be a bit silly. Older folks like me have a lot of new lingo to learn.

A frog was outgrowing his lily pad and decided to make some home improvements. He didn't have the money, so he hopped to the nearest bank to borrow some.

At the bank, he takes a seat at the desk of the loan officer, a a frazzled blond named Patricia Wack and explains his dilemma.

"I want to upgrade my lily pad, maybe add another window, but I don't have the cash. Can you lend me the money?"

"Maybe. What can you offer as collateral?"

"Well," says the frog. "All I have is this paperweight. You shake it up, and it snows on the little swiss village. Cute, huh?"

"Hmm . . . I'll have to speak to my manager."

(She enters her manager's office.)

"Mr. Bitterby, I've got a frog at my desk who wants to borrow money for lily pad improvements. But all he can offer for collateral is this glass paperweight."

Mr. Bitterby takes the paperweight, hefts it in his hand, looks at her and says, ....













"It's a knick-knack, Patty Wack, give the frog a loan."

There is a huge difference between comparing Bob and Gailon to those two faithful investigators of old, two ordinary guys who were willing to do God's will when Moses gave them their marching orders, as opposed to comparing another ordinary man like Danny Shelton with the likes of Moses or King David. Please tell me you see that difference. One comparison is reasonable, the other borders on out and out pretentiousness.

Are you saying that Moses and David where not two ordinary guys while Joshua and Caleb where? Are you not being a respector of persons in that oppinion?

(Joshua saw the parting of a flooding Jordan, the walls of Jericho fall and the earth standing still in midst of battle, and together with Caleb was the only Hebrews who both walked egyptian and Caanan soil...)

Did Joshua and Caleb collect the fruit before or after all of the acheivements you mentioned above? I believe the comparison still holds water because the future is still to be determined for Bob and Gailon depending on their choices, their faith and, ultimately, who they follow.

Is it possible I see the issues as in situations and how Gods biblical principles and examples apply to myself first and then others, and you focus on the personal and compare people, and see how they apply to others first?

Forgive me, I'd assumed you'd read more widely here than you apparently have. I do have to apologize because these early posts of yours reflect the early posts of members who came on here and would defend Danny no matter what or how. Maybe you're not like that. Your early posts seem to head that direction. But you can change my mind at least.

That's not me, and it's not how people on here are. There's an old saying on BSDA that predates my presence, "This ain't Sabbath School, we pay attention here." I've always suspected that since the malfeasance at 3ABN (apparently ) is so widespread, it didn't develop in the last few years--IOW Linda had to be there for some questionable transactions. I was right, as it turns out, because she was in on that house sale that netted $100k in profits in a week, for example. And I haven't agreed with everything Gailon & Bob have done.

I do think they're doing the right thing overall.

For the record, I thought the knick-knack joke outstanding and shared it with Mrs. Espresso, who also appreciated it.
