Folks, I've been folowing this 3abn mini-series now for about two years. I have to admit keeping up with all the different forums at times has been pretty tough but my friends who have any interest rely on me to keep them informed so I try. I have to admit though that I sure have enjoyed playing sherlock holmes when people post on different forms using differnt IDs.

But, when I saw yet another place as opened up for people to talk about it, I decided my lurking was over. It seems to me there is fierce competition on the WWW for those 3ABN saga hits, so I think we need to do something to help lurkers like me keep things organized. It’s just getting to be to confusing for those of us wishing to walk on the seamy side. Can I please get you to restrict future posting as follows:

AdventTalk – Posting restricted to pontifications from only serious players who have a personal agenda against Danny Shelton. These players would include the following:

1. Anyone being sued by 3ABN/Danny Shelton.
2. Fired 3ABN employees including their wives
3. Former spouses of current 3ABN employees
4. International posters would be required to connect via dial-up.

BSDA – Posting restricted to mis-direction, name calling, and just plain lying. Posting further restricted to individuals that do not fall within the guidelines stipulated in Item 1 above. It would be acceptable to occasionally post actual facts here as well.

Maritime – Posting restricted to lifting information from BSDA, talking among yourselves, and saying Amen a lot.

I really think this arrangement could be much more user friendly for all of us readers and allow for the maximum exposure to most the juicy goodies in the shortest length of time (which of course is what we all want right? And we all know that prolonged exposure usually results in cravings for more).

But please remember..........Readers reserve the right to change their mind frequently. biggrin.gif

You know? You have made some pretty astute observations there. While I am in disagreement with the tenor of it, it does provoke thoughts. One of those thoughts is this: BSDA must stand for "BRAVE Seventh-day Adventists" -- because most who are especially close to the case appear to either not be posting, or are posting on the other servers which are out-of-country, and hence, perhaps, cannot be subpoenaed. Then there are those here who post from out-of-country, and as such, are less ruffled by the possibilities.

The long and the short of it, coupled with this quote from Ian on another thread:
QUOTE(Ian)
I was wondering why people are so worried about being out of reach of the U.S. law though... seems to me if you aren't violating the law, there's nothing to worry about, It sounds like we may have a bunch of outlaws on our hands, but it only sounds like that, and maybe not to others, I only meant it sounded like that to me, but I don't know for sure, that is only my opinion based on what I have read, but I may be wrong, or I may be right...

I will not speculate further at this time... biggrin.gif

...show me quite clearly that "caution is the better part of valor," especially when dealing with the one(s) who are being dealt with in this case. Due to these circumstances, the litigious heavy-handedness of some, I can hardly see a better way to draw back the curtains which would cover the sins in the camp than through the anonymity of the internet.

One of my favorite quotes can provide encouragement here:
QUOTE(Ellen White)
In the annals of human history, the growth of nations, the rise and fall of empires, appear as if dependent on the will and prowess of man; the shaping of events seems, to a great degree, to be determined by his power, ambition, or caprice. But in the word of God the curtain is drawn aside, and we behold, above, behind, and through all the play and counterplay of human interest and power and passions, the agencies of the All-merciful One, silently, patiently working out the counsels of His own will. {PK 499.4} [Prophets and Kings (1917)]

Blessings,

Greenie.

Aw, shucks! You really want me to stop posting at http://www.AdventTalk.com? msn-cry.gif But I like it there!

I confess I don't fit any of your four categories above, but I am very disturbed at the shenanigans of a so-called "anointed" Adventist figure being in the limelight as an example of how an Adventist Christian behaves. I am apppalled at the blase acceptance of his behavior.

Glad to see you have a sense of humour ALMigraine. Just be careful that watching mini-series don't give you migraines!

Just one question! What "International posters would be required to connect via dial-up"?

I had to respond to this quote that is attributed to Ian by GreenCochea:

QUOTE(Ian)
I was wondering why people are so worried about being out of reach of the U.S. law though... seems to me if you aren't violating the law, there's nothing to worry about,

This is a popular opinion that reflects a lack of knowledge of the civil legal system. Innocent people are often sued and it can cost quite a lot to prove you are innocent.

Hope everyone had a great day. I do really appreciate all the welcome wishes above. If my tone offends some I do apologize but I find the tone of many posts on every forum I have read often a bit jarring.

I think I found a perfect example of that tonight after catching up with my reading at adventalk. I find it amazingly interesting that SE who posts here so articulately and who clearly is not in support of DS's actions would find himself turned on by several of those at adventalk that he challenged in their assumptions of what a single sentence could mean. I am fascinated that a BSDA member from here found it necessary to carry the WT letter that was posted here over there to continue the discussion about that single sentence. I truly thought that member was sincere in her concern for the Thompson family in aher amended and subsequent post here. IT is unfortunate that someone has taken that concern to Adventalk to spin it for what purpose?

I fear we appear to have reached a stage in this matter that is becoming much more dangerous. If you look at both camps, you can’t help but come away with the conviction that both will not hesitate to reach out in any way necessary to score points. Not unlike what you would have with a rabid cornered animal. Innocent casualties seem to be acceptable to both sides at this point.

And folks, personally, I don't think any poster on either side in this saga should be so smug that they do not think they can be identified by someone who has read extensively ain these threads and pays attention.

Welcome ALM,

I am sure you will enjoy this forum...it is usually a warm and friendly place.

Just a bit of humor about your name.....if you really are having a migraine over this whole saga I have a great remedy. A hot foot bath works wonders!

Blessings,

Thank you for the welcome. I will try the hot foot baths. Do you recommend a temperature other than hot?

I also have reread at adventalk and think I made a mistake. R4H I have amended my post last night accordingly and offer my sincere apology for jumping to any conclusions. Once again it looks like a shill did the work.

As for the foot bath - hot is best and end with an ice water pour. Keep the feet in the hot water for 20 minutes but watch that the feet are not burned or if you have circulation problems then take precautions.

Next...thank you for the apology but I am not sure what you did. I must have missed the whole thing!

That's me - just a polyanna so do not worry yourself about whatever!

And maybe I am really out of it but what is a shill??? stupid.gif
