You are either incredibly naive or sending up a smake screen. Trying to blame others IF 3ABN finds themselves in the middle of ethical and legal problems with the IRS.
You can report someone as frequently as you like. NOTHING is done or acted on till you have something concrete to offer.
That means you present proof of what you are saying. Without that there is no investigation. They cannot possibly go on a fishing expedition on complaints they receive and hope they find something. They see a fish before they go fishing.

So when who ever called, with that initial "look" into 3ABN's records the process should have stopped right there because everything should have been in order.. You knew legal action was coming, they knew the IRS investigation was coming. The only difference is the court case is still a toss up, the IRS doesnt' investigate to lose.. you ARE going to owe them at the end. And as far as all this talk goes about the lawyers choosing the names without Danny's knowledge, do you really expect us to believe that? Everyone who knows Danny knows how he must has complete control over everything. Now you want to tell us that he has turned total control of this case over to a law firm?

If it is actually true, then maybe it's time to check in to getting more competent legal counsel. According to the all-knowing Appletree, there are at least two of us on the list who aren't important to the case.

FYI I have communicated with the law firm. When I said Danny didn't know the subpeona's were being served or who they were served to, I was 100% correct. Ian gave a simple and direct explanation of how a suit progresses without being told by the client what moves to make. Maybe you should read what she wrote.
Duane have you ever read the biblical scriptures "if you have ought with your brother GO TO HIM?" That is certainly possible since you live in the area. Why don't you try that? Danny is working at his house most of the time and I'm sure you know where that is. It would be informal and private and you could just "let er rip" and get it all off your chest. I believe you would find that you are mistaken in your accusations and in what you perceive Danny's attitude to be. Doesn't that sound reasonable? Isn't it biblical? You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. By living there, you have an opportunity that many of the posters do not have. Why don't you take advantage of it?

As far as the next red highlighted sentence you evidently have no idea how the IRS works. To hear your scenerio, they got some calls, breezed in to 3abn, GLANCED at 23 years of financial records (right there on the premesis) and said "hey looks good. You're in the clear". Pleeeease. Surely you don't believe that?
The IRS comes in and removes literally thousands of records from the financial dept. While they are there they question relevant people. When that is finished, they leave with the records and it is usally months and months before you hear anything one way or the other. This case has been held up even more by the investigating agent going on maternity leave. (FHB was correct when he made that statement)

Nothing is ever simple with the IRS and you will find that out if you are ever audited.

No, no, I am not syaing anything about a timeline. Everyone knows aobut the IRS. However, the point is there should be no problem. You should not be here spewing vnom at anyone, if the truth that will prevail is that 3ABN has spotless records. I am not exactly sure when this investigation started, but experienced auditors Know what they are looking at. I sure did, but then again I wasn't IRS. So yes, I do know a bit more than you realize about the process. with all that said.

The IRS is just not going to walk in if they have done a cursory look to find at least some inconsistencies worth a clsoer look. They really dont' have that kind of time. They might have even been supplied the info ant old where to look. This is not a case of them doing a random audit,a there are even criteria for that. Appletree, I really hope you will take this in the spirit of Christian love in which it is being given. I really believe you need a break from this, and you won't take one voluntarily. While you all are free to try and "unmask" each other all day long, as I stated yesterday, we will still ocnduct ourselves with christin/common courtesy and not call names. I am almost sure that any other time you are not like this. I believe you are waay to close to this situation right now and many things are wearing on your last nerve. There is a lot of pain and anger/rage in your posts. Unless Calvin reverses it, I am going to grant you a 48 hour "break". Just a suggestion, You should use this time as a real break and don't even read this forum until the 48 hours are concluded.
