Does anyone think it is interesting that tonight and tomorrow Danny is having black speakers? Maybe there is somthing to that urban channel he is talking about. Maybe he just discovered another untapped mountain of revenue roflmao.gif roflmao.gif Kill us with kindness Danny!!!

TB

And kill us with music. Are you too young to remember when "This Old House" was a dance tune?

A question I had last night was are the employees of 3abn suppose to attend campmeeting? It didn't look like there were all that many people there and the ones I saw were the perfect people to reach deep into their humble pockets and help Danny. Hopefully those who arn't actually working have a choice to attend or not.

Truly Blonde,
Usually one would expect that employees would be expected to attend to show full support of the business.

On the other hand it would be better if those seats were filled with people who have money in their pockets, which is not true of the employees' pockets.

When the cameras pan the audience you see mostly older people who have money and time and who seldom speak up against falsehood. They have grown up to be compliant, they were trustworthy, trusting, and now gullible to what "sounds" like what they want to hear". They are easily moved by emotion, music, and grandchildren. (Look at all those little mouths 3ABN has to feed.)

Also, if the employees attended they might be asked embarrassing "questions". 3ABN Employees will NOT answer questions from you, when they are out doing a "beggathon".

Round 2:

After watching tonight’s program one thought impressed me: how easy it would be to remove Danny, Melody, all the rest of the Shelton clan, Mollie Steenson, Shelly Quinn and John Lomacang from 3ABN.

Anyone with some talent and on air experience could have lead out in the program just as well as Danny. Bran is so silent, she would not be missed. There are many more talented singers than Dan, Melody and the rest of the Shelton clan, who would be willing to sing at camp meeting. Without Dan, the type of comments that originate from Mollie, Shelly and John to support the “holiness” of Danny are not necessary nor is the type of “sermon” delivered by Pastor Gilley. Yesterday’s program was nothing more than a shameless, bold faced beg-a-thon.

The singing and preaching of Whitley Phipps tonight was like a breath of fresh air in room that has been closed up for too long: there was no call for sacrificial giving, deifying of Danny or justification of his actions. It was a sermon that ended with a call for unity in the church: regardless of race, ethnicity or national origin.

On Sunday, Pastor Phipps and the other members of the 3ABN board will meet in session, unfortunately still chaired by Walt Thompson. Hopefully, they will realize that it is past time to open wide the windows at 3ABN, let in the light of day and purge this ministry from the administration that has kept it in bondage for so long. It is time for accountability.

Dan, you know what you have done. Step aside, repent and allow the Lord to humble you before it is too late... This is my prayer for you.

Sister

Justme,
I couldn't believe Shelly Quinn when she started in asking for money. And of course it was an idea she just thought of, to ask people to give to the 10 commandments project.

Why not? She's one of the authors of Ten Commandments Under Attack . She probably gets royalties for every copy of the book distributed. Why wouldn't you, in an indirect way, up your own income if you had the chance? The whole "Ten Commandments Commission" thing is just a thinly disguised ploy for money, in my opinion.

The title of the book is meant to appeal to the emotions of the under-educated.

The Commandments Under Attack, By Pacific Press.

http://www.adventistreview.org/article.php?id=503

"The book released by Pacific Press Publishing Association, The Ten Commandments Under Attack, is written by twelve prominent Adventist evangelists and meant to be shared with non-Adventists. Authors include Doug Batchelor, Dwight Nelson, Lonnie Melashenko, Ty Gibson, Shelley Quinn , and Mike Tucker, and the foreword is written by Mark Finley, a vice president of the General Conference. The book is meant to be a witnessing tool to non-Adventist Christians and so has been kept small—only 80-pages and pocket-size, with an offer for free Bible study guides."

"Witnessing Tool" means, in Adventism, that you , dear supporter, are to purchase these in quantity even if you cannot afford to do so.

When you have a chance, please read the article about Ron Wexler, Ten Commandments Commission at:

This article indicates that the Ten Commandment Day is merely a money making affair. . . So what are the consequences?

I read the article as well and it appears that for the Wexler contingency for sure it was just a money-making affair. I certainly would hope that wasn't the same reason Mark Finley, Doug Batchelor, etc. were involved.

What is it with that Hebrew numerology stuff? I just wonder how many base their beliefs on that superstitious mumbo jumbo!

There is a young guy, Ivor Myers, who is preaching at camp meeting. He said he was a rapper. I've never heard of him. I am enjoying his message.

Danny just flatters those he wants to influence. Did you notice the plaques and the recognition of all the board members. Putting Doug Batchelor's picture on the front of the 3ABN magazine etc. Having the black speakers (who were truly inspired speakers and very good.) Bet they wouldn't be there though if he didn't feel threatened by the talk on blacksda.

I have noticed that he gives publicity to whoever he is currently "courting". You will see them featured in the 3ABN magazine or they will be featured on air. It doesn't last though. Usually it is only as long as he needs them or as long as they support him.

I believe that she has already been involved with productions at the 3ABN Sound Center - but not a cd of her own. Dan isn't about to let another woman become important. She isn't supposed to bring anything to the table - just decorate it.
