I have a problem with stating the first part with one answer. I would have prefered to be able to give three important issues.

YB, I am like Pastor Greg, I need more than one choice........take the first 7 on the first question and on the second, even though I am not an activist, I am really concerned that they are understood to represent the SDA hurch, especially in light of the recent admission of them not considering themselves as asscociated with any denom by support, association, or doctrine.

Understood Di. I was really attempting to zero in on the hottest area of concern. I realize that many would like the choice of "all of the above" or some other combination. Please "bear" with me if I promise to address this in the next poll currently under construction. -bear -------------------- |

Understood YB! I am really just glad that in your truly bear fashion you put things into such a concise form, makes the issues easy to see and understand.

I subscribe to Gregory's comment, also voiced by others. -------------------- "Any fact that needs to be disclosed should be put out now or as quickly as possible, because otherwise the bleeding will not end." I subscribe to Gregory's comment, also voiced by others. I simply don't like polls. I think open ended questions are much better. I don't like someone else putting words in my mouth... even when I get to choose from a variety of word combinations. Especially in something as complex as this, a poll simply "doesn't cut it"... IMO.... .............. |

I also would like "all of the above" but am glad that you pinpointed each issue--the poll questions themselves would make a good statement!

As a watchbird, I would think that poles provide a nice vantage point. |

Then we should take a poll to see if your opinion should be considered in future polls. As a watchbird, I would think that poles provide a nice vantage point. Ah... but a pole is not a poll. A pole gives one a broad unobstructed view of the landscape... a poll... is.... well.... I've already given my opinion on that.... .... ... but... well... sorta like playing "jackstraws".... and not only is your range of vision restricted to the choices... there may be a bunch of other choices that aren't even there to choose..... But y'all go ahead and have yur fun... I'll just peek once in a while... though obviously not at the results, since I won't be voting. I hope that's ok.... (Can we still be friends, though, Yogus?) ................................. |

Whether or not you all may feel strongly about multiple issues, if I am understanding correctly, the point of the poll was to choose that which you were most passionate about and then qualify that one choice a bit farther. This builds a simple and clear unscientific but heavily relevant statistic, IMO.
I greatly appreciate the careful thought and construction of this poll and look forward to watching the results develop. Thanks, bear Oh, and BTW, to those who would like to see a poll developed a bit differently, push the button and do so! I'll vote in yours as well. PB -------------------- Got Peace?

-bear Bear; Please, mark my response, "All of the above" for part one. -------------------- The greatest want of the world is the want of men-- men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. {Ed 57.3}
But such a character is not the result of accident; it is not due to special favors or endowments of Providence. A noble character is the result of self-discipline, of the subjection of the lower to the higher nature--the surrender of self for the service of love to God and man. {Ed 57.4} |

Oh my goodness....
Kudos to the 20, so far, with the courage to commit to a single choice and go with the flow of the poll. This post has been edited by PeacefulBe: Aug 23 2007, 01:47 PM -------------------- Got Peace?

Bear; Please, mark my response, "All of the above" for part one. Will do Fran. I now have you down for believing that 3ABN programming is heavy on Grace, Works, and Pentecostalism. Thanks for your participation. -bear -------------------- |
