I will be happy to share the name of the one that is already officially on. That is Larry Romrell. Owner of Direct TV and other media enterprises. We can only imagine the worth of someone of that caliber. The other 2 I will not share, as they have not yet had a chance to be taken in officially by the standing board.

Just so that there is not a misunderstanding here, (Not calling you a liar, Appletree) Larry Romrell may own some stock in DIRECTV, News Corporation, Liberty Media, and other media oraganizations, but News Coprporation (a company owned by K. Rupert Murdoch of Australia) is the owner of DIRECTV. Larry Romrell is well known in the media circles and has been for many years. His career with TCI under Chuck Malone was stellar, and when Malone sold TCI to AT&T, and started Liberty Media, Romrell went with him. I understand he is also a very successful rancher who produces beef on a large scale and sits on the board of at least one of the large corporations that promote and distribute beef sales and consumption. His political and beef industry PAC contributions have been quite significant. Larry Romrell is obviously a very successful entrepreneur who has a keen nose for business in many areas. Hopefully he will add some balance and wisdom to an unfortunate situation.

Thank you for your warm welcome soul. I am happy to be here. I will answer your question the only way I know how. I believe if Danny wanted a new CEO for 3abn's financial situation he would have put that into action some time ago. I will explain why I say this. At the present time 3 board members have been and will be added to the board. All 3 of the new people could take care of 3abn financially for an indefinite period of time without making a dent in their own finances. In other words, things are shaping up well with financial support for 3abn so why hire someone now for that purpose?

Are you saying that these new board members will be taking care of 3ABN financially now? I am sure it would be a relief to the 3ABN board and administration to not need to court the donors for contributions, and wills & trusts anymore. It would also free up donor monies for other worthy projects. If I am hearing you right, this could be a wonderful thing for everyone.

There are some among us that operate on a level that is beyond our capability... They do things we don't understand, which leaves us with our mouths wide open wondering how & why. The things we don't understand are not for us to understand. These people are like eagles. They soar above us.

Dear Lowender,
There are none among us that operate on a level beyond our capability. If there is something you do not understand it is because of lack of knowledge. It has nothing to do with your intelligence or the spiritual superiority of some "prophet" over you. Close your gaping mouth and stop wondering. Seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened unto you my friend. The birds some see as eagles soaring across the blue expanses of the sky are often buzzards. Get out your binoculars and look closely. You may be disturbed but enlightened by what you see.

Should you fail to succeed, I will be happy to give you an annointing of sea water and turn you into a whale of a profit. Who knows, you could be the next Jonah to be spat up onto the beach on a wave of green.

Thanks for further fleshing out our picture of this newest director! My only additional concern, in light of this information, is that programming supervisors might want to schedule Dr. Hans Diehl's taping appointments during times when Larry Romrell is not in the house to avoid unnecessary moments of friction or discord due to their disparate dietary views. Of course, as we have discovered on this forum, discussion is often productive for all views.

CANDYAPPLE... You know, you are absolutely right... I stand behind you all the way. The importance of keeping Prophet Danny Shelton on the air trumps any argument against his behavior, his finances, 3ABN's finances, or anything else... The souls that Prophet Danny has saved speaks for itself. What he decides & chooses is good for all of us...

Greetings Panama Pete,
I should be offended at your insinuation that I told a lie but considering all the misinformation and lies you have had to deal with, I will turn the other cheek and explain how I know this information. I was introduced to Mr. Romrell and his lovely wife at ASI. Obviously they are both Adventists and in fact, his wife his studying to be a lay bible worker. Mr. Romrell spoke of his pleasure of being added to the 3abn board.
Beartrap is correct that Mr. R is not into nor responsible for the inappropriate cable programs.
What does surprise me is that since this was announced several months ago and I believe even discussed on the air, I thought it was old news.
I imagine that Mr. R's addition to the board will lead to 3abn becoming part of the package of Direct TV. Put that together with their present status on Dish Network and we are talking about some quite impressive numbers.

This is all very confusing.

I am glad to know that Mr. R is not "into or responsible" for inappropriate cable progrms.

QUOTE

I an not totally certain as to what that means. But, I will assume that when it says that he is not "into" such, it is telling us that he is not one of the actors in such films or tapes. Good to know. I had never even considered that he might be. So, a concern has been answered that I never had.

I will also assume that the statement that he is not responsible for such programs means that he does not directly/personally distribute such. That also is good to know. My assumption has always been that he did nto personally distribute such.

The concerns that I have fall into the following areas:

1) Is this Mr. LR who has been linked in these threads to 3-ABN, the same person who is associated with numerous media organizations?

2) Is the Mr. LR who has been linked in these threads to 3-ABN, associated in any way with Lodgenet Entertainment?

3) If this same Mr. LR is associated in any way with # 1 & # 2, what is that relationship? Further, is that relationship that of a stockholder, is it as a member of the Board of Directors, or is that relationship of some other sort? NOTE: I do not know, and I do not assume any specific relationship.

4) If this same Mr. LR is associated as a stockholder with a media organization that supplies pornography, should a person who may be assumed to derive income from pornograpy be on the governing Board of 3-ABN, or any other religious medial organization? Again, I do not assume that such applies to this person.

5) If this same Mr. LR is associated as a member of the governing Board of a media organization that supplies pornography (whatever that is), to what extent can we say that he is not responsible for the distribution and/or content? After all, it is the governing Board that sets the standard for the content of the materials that it produces and/or supplies. If such is true, should he be on the governing Board of 3-ABN? Again, I am asking questions as I do not have the factual information that I would like to have.

Folks, I make no assumptions. I simply believe that these are very serious questions that need to be answered.

Gregory, I agree.

Allow me to expand upon the issues as I see them, and to illustrate them.

In some places in the U. S. of A. prostitution is legal.

NOTE: I am not in any way suggesting that Mr. LR, whoever he is, is connected to prostitution. I assume that he is not.

So, in one of these places where prostitution is legal, a place called the P * * * * * Cat lounge is established.

I am a SDA minister, credentialed by the General Conference. As such should I be allowed to be a stockholder in the above?

Should I be allowed to be a member of its governing Board?

I think not.

I should not be either and remain credentialed by the General Conference.

Those who serve on governing boards of religious organizations should personally meet high standards.

I also talked with several high ranking members of ASI. Again what you say is wrong. They told me they support Danny Shelton and 3abn 100% and proved it by their financial contributions.

Does your statement regarding these high-ranking members of ASI constitute defamation of character?

I talked with Doug personally at ASI. The statement you have made above contains no truth. It must be your opinion. I also talked with several high ranking members of ASI. Again what you say is wrong. They told me they support Danny Shelton and 3abn 100% and proved it by their financial contributions. I pointed out in another post the Conference officials that have been on 3abn programs and were having fellowship at ASI with several of the 3abn team including Danny. The information I share here came directly (from the horse's mouth) as they say. I am sorry for those who would rather believe rumor and 2nd and 3rd hand information instead of what I was told directly and saw with my own eyes.

Appletree, you're killing me here! You repeating anything to us that you got "from the horse's mouth" still makes it second-hand information, unless you are Danny. And no, I am not trying to unmask anyone's identity, just stating a fact. First-person testimony can ONLY be repeated by one of the parties to a conversation. If one of the parties repeated it to you, and you report it to us, it has just become second-hand information, which you have just implied is worthless. IOW, only Doug, Danny, or one of ASI's "high-ranking members" could come here and give us first-hand testimony on this particular topic. Think about it!

QUOTE(mystery- man @ Aug 10 2007, 01:20 AM) *
I understand that we have all sinned but time after time the bible makes it clear that those in positions of resposibility and high profile are held to a higher standard.

Ahhh! Yes!!!

Danny is like Moses, we have been told. Moses was grieving because Miriam had just died. God told Moses to speak to the rock. Moses struck the rock twice instead, in anger.

God told Moses he was going to have to resign. Moses obeyed, though he really didn't want to.

"I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter. Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan" (Deut. 3:25-27).

Now we have an opportunity to test the theory that Danny is like Moses. Will he resign or not?

Moses struck the rock in anger. In comparison, what has Danny done? More? Less?

Really? Because what I understood is that I was better off not questionning the actions of some of these people. I mean, I was told that my decision-making ability was better left with certain people because they knew better than I did. Shouldn't I, or even WE believe them?

QUOTE(beartrap @ Aug 9 2007, 07:23 PM) *
In Larry Romrell's defense, I could be wrong, but I see no evidence that he is a directly involved purveyor of X rated TV programs. According to their websites, the owner (by 39% shareholder status) of DIRECTV is Fox Entertainment, which is owned by News Corporation. Larry Romrell is a board member (and presumably a share holder) in Liberty Media which is a 16% share holder in News Corporation.

DIRECTV

Liberty Media

The problem is, the pornography in question was not suggested to be DirectTV programming... companies such as Lodgenet Entertainment make their money on the internet and in the direct to DVD market... so his standing with Liberty Media, Fox Entertainment or News Corporation does not preclude his having an interest in a company that markets fare to those seeking "adult entertainment"... and given the pattern of behavior seen to date in the overall, it would not surprise me if he were in fact the Larry Romnell in question and his other entanglements would be glossed over in a New York minute because all they can see is the possible end of 3ABN on DirectTV... and we all know the end justifies the means, n'est-ce pas?

In His service,
Mr. J
