Yea, flying around in a private jet with Danny was tough goings. 3ABN is a business, she worked at the busness and got paid. If the 250K was not enough she should have negoiated better.

The $250K was within industry standards. My company pays one month salary for every year of service, that is if you don't have an employment contract. If you have an employment contract, they you can negotiate anything you want when hired. So it was fair initially. But in hindsight, with 3ABN acting unethical after she was fired, it was not |

Let's remember that someone made the decision a long time ago that they wanted the benefits of being a not for profit corporation. After reading the AT article mentioned in the So Let it Be Written thread and elsewhere in this forum, it is clear Danny is demonstrating he does not understand he does not own 3ABN. The article mentions his pride in having no formal education beyond high school. It does not sound like he is getting good legal advise either.
Several days ago on another thread I asked a question of the readers...."whom do you think the 3ABN board owes a fiduciary duty?" I would suggest you read the following article from Non-Proft Quarterly and think about whether the Board is meeting its legal and ethical/moral responsibilities given all the information set out here and elsewhere.... http://www.nonprofitquarterly.org/section/341.html noahswife And yes, the problem I see with the contract has nothing to do with money due Linda for loss of employment..... I still disagree on fair compensation. If a person is one of the original founders of a ministry that has net assets worth approx. 19,500,000 at the end of 2005-No way is 250k fair. I know she doesn't have any legal entitlements to compensation but come on Fair. |
